I just bought Terry Pratchett’s THUD!

…not reading it yet BUT soooooon ( just teasing
    myself.)

Barry Miles’ Zappabook was interesting and I like
to think OBJECTIVE, anyhow, I read it, tossed it and
    forgot it.

Just finished this Gentle Giant book “Aquiring the taste”,
pretty ok – sort of a sad story about the band that almost but never made it big time. Curious but what a
    band it was.

Over Christmas I revisited Denton Welch’s ‘In Youth is Pleasure’; it is one of the few novels I’ve read more than once. Generally fiction’s dependence on narrative stops me from reopening the covers.

Now I’m reading John Mulgan’s war memoir ‘Report on Experience’ and several works by Hannah Arendt. These feed into a project I’m working on with UCLA Professor of Sociology, Arlie Russell Hochschild.
